Even before the appearance of the first tooth in a child, an important operation should be carried out after each feeding. This is to wipe the gums with a clean, damp cloth or gauze.

Never put your baby to bed with a bottle. Also, don’t bottle sugary drinks or dip your baby’s nipple in anything sweet.

When your child is one year old, take him to the dentist. You can also visit the dentist within six months after the first tooth appears.

Start using fluoride toothpaste immediately after the baby’s first tooth erupts. For up to three years, a rice grain-sized amount of toothpaste is enough to brush your teeth.

When the child is three years old, squeeze out more paste: one cleaning should take an amount equal to a pea.

Parents should help children brush their teeth or supervise this process until around age 10.

Do not forget that fruit juices, carbonated drinks, sugary drinks also damage milk teeth. And babies under one year old should never be given fruit juice.

News cannot be equated with a doctor’s prescription. Consult an expert before making a decision.
