Electronics and chip software company Synopsys announced that its artificial intelligence tool DSO.ai has already helped develop hundreds of chips. It also predicts that this trend will continue successfully in the future.
Chip manufacturers STMicroelectronics and SK hynix are reportedly already using the tool. With its help, they were able to accelerate the development of semiconductors in the face of increasing competition.
It is worth noting that the results of using DSO.ai are really impressive. Chip designs developed with the AI tool showed a 25% reduction in power consumption and a threefold increase in engineering productivity.
For example, SK hynix said the tool was able to reduce the space of memory cells by 15% and overall chip size by 5%.
