At the beginning of the month, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the 10th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation would include export restrictions in the amount of 10 billion dollars and is scheduled to be presented on the 24th of February. , on the anniversary of the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine.

According to Politico, the upcoming package may introduce new sanctions against four credit institutions in the Russian Federation, including Alfa-Bank.

In addition, the package implies the inclusion of 130 people and organizations in the sanctions list. We are talking about officials of administrations controlled by the Armed Forces of the territories of the Russian Federation. Journalists from state media can also be added to the list.

According to Politico, the EU will impose a ban on the entry of Russians into the boards of companies associated with critical infrastructure. In addition, they will restrict the import of construction equipment and trucks from the European Union. And from Russia they can ban the import of bitumen and rubber.

Alfa-Bank has been under US, EU and UK sanctions since February last year. After being listed on the US SDN list, the organization’s US assets were frozen.
