Bard: Googlers criticize chatbot’s ‘hurried’ announcement

Googlers are using meme “creation” platform Memegen to criticize the launch of chatbot AI Bard and CEO Sundar Pichai. Contributors say the new product announcement was “hurried” and “sloppy”.

Several memes accuse Pichai and other admins of being “funnyly anti-Google”. This is a reference to the old CEO’s request for employees to be more “google”—focused, ambitious, and team-spirited.

Critics talk about it Bard’s hasty announcement only confirmed the market’s concerns about the brand.. Employees recall that executives said they feared big tech’s reputation would be damaged if they didn’t make progress in chatbot technology, even if it wasn’t fully completed.
