The Svyaznoy company will file for bankruptcy with the Moscow Arbitration Court. This is indicated in the message on the federal resource.
Network creditors include VimpelCom, Alfa-Bank, RB Factoring LLC, Sovcombank and Merlion LLC. Earlier, Aviapark Trade and Exhibition Complex JSC and Sovcombank announced plans to start bankruptcy proceedings for the retailer.
Over the past year, Svyaznoy faced several lawsuits from large companies at once. In the summer, Alfa-Bank demanded to recover from Set Svyaznoy LLC and the Cypriot DTSRetail Ltd. (it owns 69.25% of the retailer) 6 billion rubles due to overdue debt. A few months later, the owner of Svyaznoy received a similar demand from Alfa-Bank.
In January this year, the court decided to recover from the network 5 billion rubles of debt under supply contracts in favor of Merlion. At the end of last year, Vimpelcom’s claim against Svyaznoy for 839 million rubles was also satisfied.
As of September 2022, the total amount of claims against the network exceeded 20 billion rubles. In December, MegaFon sold its stake in Svyaznoy.
