The number of service centers in more than a million cities decreased by 4%

Among the main reasons for the reduction is the departure of authorized foreign sellers, the lack of components and equipment for repairs, market participants told Kommersant.

At the same time, last year the demand for repair services increased by 29%. The growth is due to the lack of manufacturer guarantees. The development of centers is now limited, in connection with which the market for craft repairs is developing with the help of private traders.

At MTS-Bank, the demand for repair of electronic products increased by 11% last year. The company noted that the Russians began to buy more expensive devices that do not lose their relevance for several years, so the demand for repair services for mobile devices is growing.

Citilink is seeing an increase in equipment repair requests in the secondary market. Citizens began to actively buy used goods. Avito said that by 2022, Russians were 45% more likely to use equipment repairers in classified ads.
