The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 is built on the 4nm process used for flagship chips, for example the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This is interesting because most mid-range chips tend to be built on less efficient, older processes.
The octa-core Dimensity 7200 will receive two Cortex-A715 cores and six Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of 2.8 GHz. The chip’s modem supports, among other things, sub6 5G networks, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3/LE.
It is stated that the Dimensity 7200 will debut on Android smartphones released in the 1st quarter of this year. Their announcement is expected later this month at MWC 2023.
