The Ryzen 7 7730U is an octa-core processor based on the Zen3 architecture, codenamed “Barcelo-R”. The reason for this comparison is simple: Both processors use the Zen3 architecture, have the same CPU configuration, and even use the same 2.0/4.5 GHz clock speeds.
So although the Ryzen 7 7730U looks like a brand new processor, it’s actually a newly painted Ryzen 7 5825U.
The Ryzen 7 7730U was 4% faster in the single-threaded test and 3% faster in the multi-core test than the one-year-old version. However, this data is based on only two tests, and the 5825U result contains 255 tests, so results may be inaccurate.
