Experts have been analyzing the behavior of mammals for the past 19 years. Eventually, they found that as the population grew so large, their tactics changed and there was fierce competition for sexual partners.

Therefore, male whales no longer risk singing loudly – they are afraid to attract the attention of rivals, not females. Instead, they silently drive opponents away from potential mating.

It is worth noting that humpback whales are known for their complex and diverse characteristic song. During breeding, whales can sing both individually and in “chorus” for several days in a row. Also, each population has its own unique tunes.
