By 2025, the kicksharing market volume will triple compared to the results of 2022 and will reach 39.5 billion rubles. The customer base will increase to 32.5 million users who will make 337 million trips.
The drivers of growth will be the regional expansion of operators and an increase in the number of trips per user, Vedomosti reported with reference to the Thrushering study.
Three key operators are represented in the Russian market: Yandex Go, Whoosh and Yurent, whose combined share in 2022 was almost 94%. In total, there are about 40 kicksharing companies operating in the country.
In 2022, there were 192,000 electric scooters in operators’ fleets, with 15.5 million users making 103.5 million trips. The company’s revenue per scooter amounted to 69.2 thousand rubles per year, with an average cost per rental minute of 7.3 rubles and a trip duration of 18 minutes.
In December, Whoosh raised 2.1 billion rubles during an initial public offering (IPO) on the Moscow Stock Exchange. The placement price under the initial public offering was 185 rubles per share, which is the lower limit of the price range previously established by the company. Whoosh’s initial public offering was the only one in 2022 on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
