Yandex.Market uploaded furniture sets and wardrobes from IKEA to the platform; this category of products was not previously available for sale on the service. This is stated in the market message.

Yandex.Market downloaded IKEA furniture, which was previously not for sale on the service

A Market representative explained to RB.RU that before expanding the Swedish retailer’s product range, the Market studied what sizes of headsets and cabinets are most popular with buyers in Russia. This was necessary “in order not to expose the products as separate components” – now the headphones look like ready-made solutions.

Now you can shop cabinets for the living room and bathroom, furniture sets for the children’s room, as well as cabinets and multi-level shelves, including the popular Pax storage systems. The marketplace added about 500 more products to the “Furniture” category in the “IKEA” section. Accessories and other components for IKEA furniture also appeared on sale.

Now you can order furniture in the “Market” in Moscow, components and accessories are already available for purchase throughout the country. In the near future, the service will add games for the kitchen.

  • Yandex.Market agreed to buy the entire inventory (more than 20 million items) of the Russian division of IKEA in November last year. Sales of these products began on December 1, 2022.
  • IKEA suspended the work of stores in Russia in March 2022 after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. In June of the same year, the company announced that it was liquidating the network.
