Faculty members who led the attempt to shut down the system say they were not aware of the existence of the system until they read the student newspaper. One of them compared the system to “McCarthyism”.
Launched in 2021, the system encourages students to report incidents they feel affected, enabling voluntary investigation of both the student who filed the complaint and the alleged perpetrator. Seventy-seven teachers signed a petition calling for the school to be investigated in the hope that they would abolish the system.
