Apple paid a fine of 906 million rubles, which was assigned to it for violating the antitrust law of the Russian Federation. According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the company limited competition in the market by restricting the application of a Russian developer in the App Store.
The Russian budget has already received 906 million rubles of fines imposed by Apple, the FAS reported. The agency found that Apple, by its actions, limited competition in the market and held a dominant position in it with a 100% share.
In 2019, Kaspersky Lab complained to the Federal Antimonopoly Service against Apple because it restricted access to the Kaspersky Safe Kids parental control program on the App Store. For this, Apple was recognized as a violator of antitrust law, ordered to remove the violation, and fined 906.2 million rubles.
