Back in January, the WhatsApp version for iOS 16 gained the feature that lets you drag and drop pictures, videos, and documents from other apps into conversations. In addition to facilitating file exchange, function can now be used to create stickers.

According to WABetaInfoA recent update to WhatsApp for iOS brought new ways to use the custom feature. Among them, Quick sticker creation from images dragged into Messenger.

Site tests show that it’s possible to drag an image into a chat and then cut the desired item. Then just send the quote from the chat to WhatsApp automatically turn it into a sticker and add it to the collection.

iOS 16 users with new functionality, freedom to create stickers without relying on third-party apps or tools. Plus the function makes the whole process faster and of course fun.

The sticker creation functionality is now available to all users of the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS 16 (23.3.77). Available on the App Store. Therefore, the recommendation is that you update the app to be able to use the new feature.

There is still no estimate for Messenger to launch the functionality for older versions of iOS. Also, the Android version of the app shouldn’t get a similar tool anytime soon.
