The stations are now equipped with a built-in Magic Dock adapter to work with electric vehicles from other manufacturers. Everything happens through the app. Non-Tesla EV owners simply need to download the Tesla app, create an account, add a credit card to pay, and then pull up at a few select Magic Dock-equipped Supercharger stations, mostly in New York for now.

Tesla warns that charging can take up to two minutes, which is longer than when using a Tesla vehicle.

At this point, New York State only seems to have a half-dozen stations for non-Tesla EV owners, but that number is expected to grow rapidly as Tesla rolls out the Magic Dock to more stations and builds new ones.
