Apple representatives confirmed that they will suspend warranty service for MacBook laptops and iPad tablets in Russia for an indefinite period and mentioned the reason. It was expected that there would be sanctions restrictions on the importation of necessary spare parts into the Russian Federation.
Yesterday it became known that some authorized service centers received notification letters from Apple about the indefinite suspension of warranty service for MacBook laptops and iPad tablets in Russia.
At the same time, a number of service centers did not confirm this information – they did not receive letters and announced plans to continue warranty service (among such centers, for example, re:Store).
Now, Apple Support has officially confirmed the suspension and indicated the reason: logistical difficulties in the supply of spare parts caused by the restrictions of the sanctions.
About this was written on various Telegram channels (Ax Live was one of the first), and the federal news agencies supplemented their news yesterday with this information.
