In Russia, the number of complaints about the online sale of products on the large marketplaces Ozon, Yandex.Market, Wildberries, Avito, Yula and SberMegaMarket has increased, Kommersant learned.
In February, Nikita Kuznetsov, director of the department for the development of internal trade at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, sent a letter to the members of the commission on creating conditions for self-regulation of electronic commerce. He points to numerous appeals from buyers who are dissatisfied with the complaint handling procedure, problems with returning goods, missed delivery times, and numerous other violations.
To solve this problem, the regional authorities proposed forcing markets to disclose data by which it would be possible to identify the seller, as well as to provide documentation accompanying the product upon request. In addition, it is proposed to prohibit the unilateral refusal of sale of goods in connection with a technical failure.
In addition, the regional authorities propose to use special intermediate accounts. Payment in this case will be received after receiving the order. Among the initiatives is the introduction of liability for lack of control over vendors and goods.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce acknowledged receipt of the letter and indicated that, having studied the proposals, it would discuss them at the next meeting.
It was previously reported that Wildberries will fine its vendors for the lack of labeling on products where it should be by law.
Ozon, in turn, announced a new incentive program for employees. The site will begin to accumulate special “liter bonuses”, they can be used to pay for the storage of goods in Ozon warehouses.
