Vimpelcom acquired 20% of audio system developer Voca Tech. The system is used to analyze service quality in retail. The company does not disclose who owns the other 80%.

Vimpelcom acquired 20% of audio systems developer Voca Tech

Voca Tech could be valued for the deal at 6-10 in revenue by 2022. The acquired share could cost approximately 74.6 million to 124.4 million rubles, Kommersant reported.

Tele2 has also been using Voca Tech solutions since 2019, while MegaFon relies on a video analytics system. The company also plans to develop its business in the CIS.

Insiders say that VimpelCom invested in the service with the expectation of introducing its technology to large networks, where the need for such devices may be in the tens of thousands.
