Thus, users of the application will be given the opportunity to not allow calls from unknown numbers. A new switch “Disable unknown callers” will appear in the Messenger settings. Nothing will change for the callers as they will hear the same ringtone.
The option is currently undergoing internal testing and is not yet available to WhatsApp beta testers. It is not yet clear when the function will be opened to all users.
