Finnish authorities arrested the assets of “Yandex”

The publication clarifies that the asset freeze is unlikely to have a direct impact on the company’s operations. The representative of “Yandex” refused to comment RB.RU.

Yandex operates the Yango transport service in Finland and has a data center in Mäntsälä. In the spring, Yandex Oy changed its name to Global DC Oy in Finland.

Arkady Volozh was subject to EU sanctions in June 2022, after which he left all positions in the company and left the board of directors. Volozh’s plans to challenge the EU’s decision to put him on the sanctions list were also reported.

According to Helsingin Sanomat, the Finnish authorities also froze the Rotenberg brothers’ tourist property management company.

Freezing assets means they cannot be pledged or sold without the bailiff’s permission.
