Former head of Aeroflot Mikhail Poluboyarinov moved to Rostec – RBC

According to the interlocutors of the publication, the former head of the airline has been working at Rostec since January this year and holds a “senior managerial position” there. According to the VChK-OPGU telegram channel, in the state corporation he will supervise the work of banks controlled by Rostec.

One of RBC’s sources at a company subsidiary claims that Poluboyarinov is now an adviser to Rostec boss Sergei Chemezov.

Mikhail Poluboyarinov has served as Aeroflot’s CEO since 2020. Last spring, after the entry of Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine, he ended up on the EU sanctions list, after which he left the airline. According to Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev, this decision was due to stressful conditions.

The Rostec State Corporation, its director Sergey Chemezov and his family are under European, British and American sanctions. On the anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, the UK has extended restrictions on the company.
