The US and the Netherlands reached an agreement at the end of January to impose new restrictions on the export of advanced chip technology to China, but the Dutch government has not made a public statement so far. This is a US initiative aimed at cutting off China’s ability to create advanced chips.

Foreign Trade Minister Lisie Schreinemacher writes that the Dutch government wants to prevent Dutch technology from being used in military systems or weapons of mass destruction. Approximately the same arguments were put forward when they announced such sanctions in the United States, but on their part.
