Only 4% of Russians will spend their summer holidays abroad this year, the survey showed. Most of the respondents will rest while traveling in Russia, the most popular destinations being Crimea, Altai, Baikal and Saint Petersburg.
The job search service SuperJob conducted a survey on how Russians are going to spend their summer vacation. The study involved 3 thousand people from among the economically active population of Russia.
Only 4% of the respondents answered that they were going to spend their summer holidays abroad. Most chose Turkey and Tunisia. Those who plan to go abroad are more among respondents with salaries above 80,000 rubles a month.

17% of the study participants, or one in six, admitted that they would spend their holidays in the country or at home. There are more supporters of this type of vacation among respondents over 45 years of age.
The majority of respondents (21%, or one in five) intend to spend their holidays traveling in Russia. St. Petersburg, Crimea, Altai, Baikal and the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory became the most popular destinations for summer vacations for this group of respondents.
