The gadget’s name was PEP Buddy. It is in the form of a whistle and can also be worn around the neck. The device can be used daily, including during or after exercise. It makes it easier for air to escape from the lungs.
Scientists have already tested the device on patients. Shortness of breath was significantly reduced and quality of life was improved in 72% of the participants, and the decrease in oxygen levels during exercise stopped in 36% of the patients.
