Cerebral has been collecting data with a monitoring tool since 2019. Almost everything was leaked: patients’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, IP addresses, insurance information, appointment dates, treatment information and much more. It is possible that even the answers of the clients in the questionnaire completed by the patients for the self-assessment of their mental health were combined.
According to Cerebral, the data disclosed may “vary” from patient to patient. The initiative said it would notify affected users, adding that it does not disclose social security numbers, credit card numbers or bank account information “regardless of how an individual interacts with the Cerebral platform.”
