The relevant bill is expected to be submitted to the State Duma before the end of the spring term. While the previous version of the invoice provided instant unsubscribe, the updated version will include a link to the user agreement and other related information instead of an unsubscribe button.
The new rules are expected to benefit consumers. Thus, thanks to them, a clearer picture of the costs associated with subscriptions will be formed.
It is worth noting, however, that the change in legislation has met with resistance from some companies, who fear that it may lead to a decrease in subscriber numbers.
