VK will combine the Zen content platform with the Pulse recommendation system. The teams of both services will work on the creation of a new project. Their appearance will increase the potential audience for content authors, VK reported.
TASS reports on the merger of the two VK platforms with reference to the company’s press service.
As of March 13, users will not be able to create new channels in the Pulse system, they will only be able to be registered in Zen. As of May 1, it will not be possible to publish posts on Pulse.
The VK press service explained that they would soon remove the limit on the minimum amount of withdrawal from Pulse for content authors. Users will be able to fully withdraw funds from the system until July 10, 2023.
Once the platforms are merged, Zen content will be displayed on all Pulse system resources.
VK emphasized that the unification of services will increase the potential audience of content authors. Teams from both projects will work on the new service.
VK bought Yandex’s Novosti and Zen services in September 2022. At the same time, VK fully sold to Yandex the Delivery Club service for the delivery of convenience foods and groceries, which it had previously purchased from O2O Holding.
