Natalia Kasperskaya’s InfoWatch bought the Russian Direct Investment Fund’s share in its own capital. The owner of 4.17% of InfoWatch was Infowatch JSC, one of the legal entities in the parent structure of the company.
RBC writes about the agreement with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and the president of InfoWatch, Natalia Kasperskaya. Advance Capital director Artur Shubaev estimated the acquired stake at 250-300 million rubles (as of February 2022).
Infowatch JSC bought a 4.17% stake in the InfoWatch group, which belonged to the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). The latter invested in InfoWatch in March 2017. The amount of the transaction and the participation received by RDIF were not disclosed.
Kaspersky specified that when RDIF entered the capital, there was a condition that InfoWatch could buy back the shares after five years.
“I think that RDIF helped us in the training stage, in solving many of our problems. Also, his presence as a shareholder was inappropriate,” said Natalia Kasperskaya.
Infowatch JSC is 99.9% owned by Infowatch Asset Management LLC. 95.8% of the stake in the organization belongs to Natalia Kasperskaya, and the remaining 4.17% is owned by Infowatch JSC. The net profit of the joint-stock company in 2021 amounted to 116 million rubles with a turnover of 1.8 billion rubles.
