The US Air Force has published new images of the American bomber B-21 Raider.

One of the main advantages of the newcomer is the “unprecedented range”, which makes it possible for the Air Force command to aim completely from bases outside the United States. With the exception of the destruction of strategic objects in the territory of detection, the B-21 will be engaged in reconnaissance, electronic warfare, search for communications and a number of other functions. With high volume and working in conjunction with AI, Raider can be used as a drone – including for controlling group processing of drones.

Judging by the new images, the B-21 inherited a lot from its “ancestor” – the B-2 Spirit. It differs from it in a more effective and other grayish-white stealth coating. The photo gives a Polish idea of ​​his exclusion. Obviously, we are talking about a composite material, reminiscent of fabric, laid in layers in the form of ribbons. A particular stacking configuration should have better scattering of radar signals. The coating also reveals the inlets of the air intakes.

Aerodynamics suffered significantly due to a smoother transition of the chassis nacelle to the hull and streamlined buildings. Engines go a long way in removing them, which should reduce the heat signature.

The tail and exhaust ports of the B-21 are practically invisible in the picture. Because of this point of view, they are also more smoothly combined into a pranier (the aircraft is built in a “flying wing” layout). In this situation, flat panels were assigned behind the wings. It is possible that these are satellite antennas. In total, the Pentagon is going to buy a hundred B-21s. The first Raider entered service four years later. of the year.
