About 110,000 Russians moved to Armenia in 2022. Such statistics were given to Vedomosti by the country’s Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan.

The Minister of Economy of Armenia named the number of Russians who moved in 2022

“The net relocation for 2022 is approximately 108 thousand – 110 thousand citizens. That is, many Russians came to Armenia and stayed to obtain permanent residence, ”he said.

Kerobyan also noted that over the past year, about 2,500 legal entities were opened in Armenia with participants from Russia, as well as 4,000 individual entrepreneurs. The minister estimated the additional inflow of client funds into the Armenian banking system at $3 billion, which made it possible to secure about a quarter of the country’s total GDP growth.

“Of 12.6% (GDP growth in 2022), relocation generated more than three percentage points,” the minister calculated.
