Rumor has it that the device costs 1,700 euros, making it perhaps the most expensive smartphone in Google’s portfolio. Most likely, the Pixel Fold will get a 5.79-inch external display and a 7.69-inch foldable display. At the heart of the device will be the Google Tensor processor.

Evgeny Kharitonov, editor-in-chief of Ferra.ru, says that the Google Pixel is an interesting series of smartphones with its own philosophy, where the main thing is not the technical characteristics, but the result. For example, in flagship smartphones from Xiaomi, Samsung or Sony, cameras “on paper” surpass Pixel cameras in all respects, but the image quality on the Pixel 7 Pro is no worse, and even better.

Kharitonov also suggests that smartphones with flexible clamshells at a reasonable price may become popular in the near future. “They will be bought out of curiosity and nostalgia for push-button phones of the past. This is the current bestseller among flexible smartphones, with cameras from old Samsung flagships of 2019, but at the same time relatively inexpensive (compared to competitors) with exceptional compactness and low autonomy at an approximate price. It proves to be the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. 60 thousand rubles versus 100+ thousand rubles for the most flexible smartphones of other models.
