According to the Kommersant newspaper, the SamsungRepair (Moscow, 950 rubles) and re-Center (St. Petersburg, 4.5 thousand rubles) service centers are ready to switch Samsung from belonging to Kazakhstan to Russia.
In addition, private masters on Avito offer services for changing the region, “installing” or “unlocking” Samsung Pay, prices start at 500 rubles and reach 5 thousand rubles.
In large networks (Pedant.ru) and in service centers listed on the Samsung website as official (“Your Mobile Service”, “Telemix”, etc.), they refused to change the region of the phone.
M.Video-Eldorado staff is ready to “advise the visitor free of charge on the available methods to activate the paid service”. Citilink reported that they do not provide services to change the region.
- Changing the region on Samsung devices is done using a PC and amateur software (SamKey, SamFw FRP Tool), instructions for using it are on specialized forums.
- Following the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Samsung and Apple stopped deliveries of phones to Russia.
