After Lerchek, a criminal case for tax evasion for 120 million rubles was opened against the blogger Alexandra Mitroshina. She is accused of creating several sole proprietorships to maintain a simplified tax system.
A criminal case was initiated against Alexandra Mitroshina under Part 2 of Article 198 of the Criminal Code of Russia, TASS reported.
According to the researchers, from October 2020 to May 2022, as an individual entrepreneur, the blogger used a simplified tax system, which applies to income up to 150 million rubles a year. Investigators believe that she received part of the income from other affiliated IPs controlled by her.
The houses of Mitroshina and other people who may have been involved in the crime were searched. The blogger is also being investigated for his involvement in other economic crimes.
Alexandra Mitroshina has more than 4.2 million followers on Instagram (banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as an extremist in the Russian Federation) and tells how to start a blog from scratch and become a leader in her niche.
In early March, a similar criminal case was launched against the fitness blogger Lerchek and her husband. They are accused of not paying taxes for 300 million rubles.
