Unfortunately, the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 (with Ryzen 7 and Core i7 and RTX 2050) and 16 is not officially available for purchase in Russia. But you can order them, for example, on AliExpress. All three laptop models have a 100W charger, Type-C to Type-A adapter, and Type-C power cord.
Laptops are made of aluminum. Build quality is excellent overall. Everything can be opened with one hand and the screen will not falter at all.
The most interesting is the OLED screens on Xiaomi laptops. If we talk about the Book Pro 16 model, it has a 4K resolution screen. It has 16:10 aspect ratio, 60 Hz refresh rate, 283 ppi pixel density, 600 nits brightness and HDR support. It also has less PWM than 14-inch models.
The keyboard in the 16-inch version is very beautiful and comfortable. It reminds me of a MacBook keyboard.
There are quite a few ports and they are fast. However, it lacks HDMI, a card reader, for example.
But as for the sound, it’s bad. Even the iPad 9 will sound better than the Xiaomi Book Pro 16.
Battery capacity 56 Wh For 14 inch and 70 W modelsh on the 16-inch model. In 35 minutes, each laptop can be charged to 50%.
As for the processors, they are in different versions of Xiaomi laptops – they are different. You can find information about them below. The Book Pro 16 model is sold with Intel Core i5-1240P and i7-1260P processors.
Below are the test results of all Xiaomi laptops in the benchmarks.
Xiaomi Book Pro 14 and 16 versions with Intel are perfect for editing, working in Photoshop. Moreover, in most tasks, Xiaomi will be even faster on the M1 and M2 than the MacBook. You can also run almost any game smoothly on Book Pro 16: Dead Space – at 1080p with medium graphics settings (average FPS – 40-50 fps, drops – up to 30 fps), Dying Light 2 – with the lowest settings, DLSS and Full HD (average FPS – 45-60 fps). Cyberpunk 2077 – with lowest preset and DLSS (average 50-70 fps). And these results are better with the M1 and M2 than they could be on a MacBook.
In terms of editing, the Book Pro 16 looks worse on the M1 and M2 than the MacBook, but still good.
According to the expert, the AMD version of the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 should never be bought, but the version with the Book Pro 14 with Intel makes sense for those who want to buy a compact laptop with Windows. The Book Pro 16 is more expensive and has a wider diagonal, but only has a 60Hz refresh rate (the Book Pro 14 has 90Hz). Overall, all three models work quite well. They are suitable for graphics, games and just watching videos.
