WhatsApp launched this Thursday (23) starting the official chat, limited to a few random people for now. In the first chat message, the tool is designed for app users to receive news, updates and tips on how to get the most out of the platform.
Users considering the new functionality were able to prove their authenticity through the brand’s traditional green seal. The first issue addressed was the ephemeral messaging feature.
According to this WABetaInfowebsite specializing in instant messaging platform updates, innovation has been in development for some timeWhatsApp beta for Android was announced in the 2.22.17.10 update on the Play Store and TestFlight’s WhatsApp beta for iOS was announced in version 22.20.0.71.
How to use official WhatsApp chat?
Note that you can only open the official WhatsApp chat when you receive a message from the app (it also appears in the web version). The first thing you will notice will be the green badge as in the screenshot above. This sticker makes the chat authentic and protect users from scams or phishing attempts who might want to spoof WhatsApp.
The arrival of messages in the official chat allows users to simply stay in the know without having to research what’s new in one of their most used apps. If the user is not interested, they can archive, mute or simply block the chat, as with any regular user.
