In a new study, the authors examined the relationship between consumption of fish, fatty acids, processed red meat and the incidence of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

In total, the data of 93 thousand patients were analyzed. They showed that eating large amounts of processed red meat was associated with an increased incidence of AML and MDS. Other products did not find such a link.
