Yandex will open a second office in Serbia, Forbes found out, in 2023 the number of company employees in the country will be at least 1 thousand people.
According to the sources of the publication, the elite metropolitan complex Belgrade on the Water, located on the bank of the Sava River, may become a place for a new office. The IT giant’s first office opened in Belgrade last summer. The location was the K-District complex.
The office provided for the work of 700 employees, but according to the source, in February, about 1,500 company employees were in Serbia. The team was expected to continue to grow, so more space was needed.
As told in Yandex itself, today there is a center for 1,000 people in the Serbian capital. A Forbes source claims that the company intends to make this center the main office in Europe.

Reuters reported last week that Italian Prime Minister George Meloni had vetoed a deal by startup Nebius to take over a small local company, Tecnologia Intelligente Srl. The company’s own website claims that Nebius is rolling out cloud technologies based on Yandex Cloud solutions in Israel, the Netherlands, Serbia and Germany.
Today, Yandex.Taxi operates in Serbia, the company is preparing to launch commercial deliveries there, the source adds. In November last year, Yandex confirmed plans to separate domestic and international business.
