The Albatros company was registered in the special economic zone (SEZ) Alabuga and moved its production to Tatarstan, the organization’s press service told RB.RU.
Albatros is dedicated to the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The company also develops software for tasks such as flight operations and photo and video processing. Last summer, Albatross received 35 million rubles of investments.
The transfer of capabilities to Tatarstan will allow to increase the production of UAVs and organize the development of individual components for accessories.
Andrey Frolov, CEO of the company, announced new investments and plans to localize production.
“In 2023, we plan to invest in production more than 100 million rubles of cumulative profit, which will allow us to open the second production line, create about 100 jobs and reach the localization level.

Drones are already being developed for use in agriculture, as well as devices for counting animals and searching for lost people.
As Kirill Kaem, Vice President of Innovation at the Skolkovo Foundation, pointed out at the Russian Venture Forum, today the use of drones in the Russian Federation is not limited to the military sphere, they are widely used in civilian areas. Drones are especially needed in the field of agriculture.
Earlier it became known that the Russian authorities are going to create a separate fund to finance developers of drone control simulators. According to experts, this can help prepare operators for real drones.
