Russian sorter Avito has been developing the Delivery by Seller (DBS) model since last summer. Previously, only individuals could work with it. In March 2023, the company connected all TIN-verified legal entities to the model, the Avito press service reported to RB.RU.

Legal entities in Avito will be able to send bulky items using partner delivery services

When using Delivery by seller, the sellers themselves send their goods through the associated delivery services: Russian Post, CDEK, DPD, Business Lines, PEK and others, and the order is placed through Avito using a “transaction safe”.

The service allows you to deliver bulky goods that are not included in Avito Delivery. Also, some sellers cooperate with several sites at once and send many orders at once. In this case, shipping under direct contracts with couriers is much more convenient for them.

Sellers can also set their own rates and delivery times. The buyer only needs to share their address or the address of the pickup point, and the seller will calculate the terms and price. Previously, Avito itself determined and displayed to the user the approximate cost of delivery based on a large amount of data from all services.

In the near future, the company intends to provide sellers with the opportunity to independently set the available geography of delivery of goods and automatic fee scales in the settings.
