Since March 2022, Russian software prices have increased by 30-50%. Users attribute the trend to a lack of competition in the market, which Western providers have left behind. The developers partly recognized the price increase, but more moderate – by 10-15%.

In 2022, Russian software prices grew by 30-50%

Big consumers of Russian software have already asked the Ministry of Digital Transformation to influence the situation, but so far to no avail, Kommersant learned.

Price control in Russia as a whole is not under the jurisdiction of the department, this is carried out by the FAS, the source of the publication in the IT market clarified.

According to experts, the main reason for the increase in prices for Russian software was the increase in the salaries of programmers to keep them in the Russian Federation and train them, and the difficulty in buying equipment.

They also warned that the rise in prices will continue, and only the direct intervention of the regulator can stop it.
