Startup Careerist, founded by Ivan Tsybaev, Maxim Glubochansky, and Maxim Gusakov, received $8 million in investment. Tsybaev told the Insider about this.

Trucker Path founder Ivan Tsybaev’s startup raises $8 million in investment

Funding was provided by both investment firms and informal investors, including First Republic Bank founder James Herbert, as well as one of the founders of PandaDoc, a Belarusian-born entrepreneur Mikita Mikado. Other investors were Cold Start Ventures, Cathexis Ventures, Xploration Capital and Grand Park Ventures.

The service helps both experienced and novice IT specialists to train in technical areas in an online format. Career experts will then help you in your job search.

At the same time, the service promises to return money for training if the graduate does not find a suitable vacancy. Today, Careerist has agreements with some internship organizations. By helping to find employment, the company receives a percentage of the salary.

The cost of training varies by address. The Systems Engineering course will cost $3,500 and will take six months to complete. And you can learn how to become a UX designer in 14 weeks, it will cost you $2950.

The startup was founded in 2019, now its team exceeds 100 people. In 2021, the service received $1.25 million in investment. In the spring of the same year, Careerist entered the Y Combinator program, a venture fund that operates in the format of a so-called business incubator.
