Researchers at the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, commissioned by Vow Cololol, have enough mammoth flesh in the lab to capture it when making a real meatball. Unfortunately, no one likes it – the meatball was prepared for advertising purposes. H

Vow specializes in the production of synthetic meat and thus pays attention to their business. Mammoth meatballs should symbolize kits. Therefore, synthetic protein food should become a kind of salvation for humanity, the company believes.

Scientists have extracted DNA, myoglobin, a celestial muscle protein from the remains of a real mammoth. The molecule contains gaps filled with fragments of elephant DNA. Then this modified DNA was placed in the stem cells of the cells and influenced their growth in the future. Despite the complex process, this GMO product is scientifically closer to mammoth flesh, as it has a ratio of genes to mammoth genes of only 1:25,000.

There have already been gourmets who wished to try this unique meat, such as Professor Love Dalen, who tasted frozen mammoth meat during an expedition to Siberia. But this original product will not go on sale. What can not be said about the synthetic analogues of modern birds – for example, quails. The Singapore authorities have already issued a permit for the use of this product in food.
