Investors invested almost 6 trillion rubles in the Moscow economy in 2022, 2.2% more than in 2021, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel.
Most of the money was invested by large and medium-sized companies – about 4.4 trillion rubles fell into their share. The companies invested in the purchase of machinery and equipment, the construction of non-residential buildings, landscaping and more.
Sobyanin noted that investments in the city’s fixed capital continue to grow despite the sanctions.
Earlier, the growth of the Moscow venture capital market in 2022 was also reported: its volume exceeded the pre-pandemic level and amounted to $658 million, but compared to 2021, it plunged three times.
