The Ministry of Digital Transformation explained the reason for disabling the function of deleting an account in State Services. The department referred to the growing cases of personal account hacking, as a result of which attackers delete user accounts.
The stance on disabling the function of deleting an account in “Gosuslug” was described by the Ministry of Digital Development on its telegram channel.
The department explained that recently cases of account hacking in State Services have become more frequent, so attackers delete user accounts. Therefore, it was decided to disable the account deletion function, said the Ministry of Digital Development.
“It is now only possible to delete an account when visiting the MFC,” the department added.
Deleting an account in “State Services” will not be considered draft evasion, the department added. The Ministry of Digital Transformation recalled that notifications from government agencies can be disabled in the “Gosuslug” in the corresponding section.
The ability to delete a personal account in “Gosuslugi” disappeared today, March 31. The delete button disappeared from the site, and the mobile application of the service began to give the error “delete function is not available.”
