NAND flash memory prices depend on the balance of supply and demand in the market. Demand for this type of memory has dwindled due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has recently impacted sales of servers, smartphones and laptops. Because of this, memory suppliers have reduced their production volumes.
But that wasn’t enough to stabilize prices, according to TrendForce. Prices of NAND flash memory products fell in the first quarter. A 5-10% decrease in prices is expected in the second quarter. At the same time, the prices of memory will no longer fall.
Analysts note that the biggest price cuts will occur in the eMMC and UFS drivers segment for mobile devices and in the enterprise drivers segment.
