In a statement made by the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the country reminded the United States and its allies that it is a state with practical nuclear strike capability.
The announcement came amid multiple US and South Korean military exercises that Pyongyang has criticized. KCNA stressed that South Korea’s claims that the exercises were defensive in nature were an attempt to cover up the offensive nature of the exercises and the military alliance between the United States and South Korea.
The warning comes as tensions continue to escalate between North Korea and the United States and the former country’s ongoing missile tests.
