The impact of the events of 2022 turned out to be uneven for companies, a study by the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) showed, with which RB.RU got acquainted. 25% of companies discovered new opportunities for themselves, 15% were at risk of survival.

Companies that have managed to quickly adapt to changes (foreign economic activity, logistics, sanctions) have found new ways of development for themselves, while others have faced difficulties that threaten the existence of the business.

  • strongly positive for 25% of companies, these companies note a large number of new opportunities for expansive growth, occupying new niches.
  • Positive for 15%, they noticed, for example, an increase in the customer base of competitors who left.
  • Neutral for 20% of companies. One in five organizations was not seriously affected by the crisis.
  • Negative for 25%, the companies have encountered difficulties that can be solved in the short term.
  • markedly negative for 15%, companies have faced serious difficulties that threaten their business.

The main “pains” of corporations were the interruption of interaction with foreign partners (40%), difficulties in the logistics system (40%), the exit of foreign software providers (35%), the shortage and exit of qualified specialists (30%), the difficulty of entering foreign markets (10%).

IIDF Research Methodology: More than 20 in-depth interviews with senior managers of corporations in the segments of IT, finance, media, retail, production and mining, state-owned corporations.
