A register of producers of beer, cider, mead and poire will appear in Russia. As of September 1, it will automatically include companies with equipment with a capacity of up to 300,000 decaliters per year without outlet meters.
The law on the creation of the register was signed by the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. According to the document, production facilities with a capacity of more than 300,000 deciliters per year are also subject to listing if they are equipped with measuring instruments. For manufacturers with a capacity of up to 100,000 decalitres, the list will be made according to a simplified scheme.
Likewise, as of September 1, 2024, a new regulation will enter into force, the maximum capacity for the production of beer, in which it is not necessary to install meters, will be reduced to 100 thousand deciliters.
The document also says that from February 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, special commissions will check whether the manufacturer of the record (which is entered there automatically) meets the new requirements.
According to the law, from October 1, 2023 mandatory labeling for beer beverages in polymer packaging or glass containers is introduced.
