Just the other day, Yandex can get a beta version of the Masterpiece mobile application, in which you can generate images using a neural network based on a text description. The application is available on Google Play and the App Store, and has already taken first place in terms of popularity in the Russian segment of the App Store.
there would be, well, another neural network that generates pictures. We have already seen that the ability of Midjourney in terms of creating images, and even Sber, also belongs to an AI called “Kandinsky 2.0” with similar functionality.
However, Yandex came up with an idea to add one feature to the Masterpiece, which other products do not have. And it seems to me that this, if it does not completely destroy social networks in the body we are used to, will definitely change them beyond recognition in the very near future.
See for yourself.
This is inst … ah, no, this is “Masterpiece”
You just watch! This is the insanely familiar endless strip that shows pictures of other users’ posts with the ability to “like” or another image. I’ve seen this somewhere before…
Only here in the Masterpiece you can not upload your photo of lunch, extract or upload a short video about your life. Instead, you can only generate pictures and post the resulting result for everyone to see, collecting “losies” for a particularly successful creative.
Thus, this chip equalizes absolutely all users. After all, the most likes will be collected not by the one who has a cool car, who is not a famous artist or blogger, but by the one who comes up with the most creative, accurate and understandable text description, sucking on a neural network will create an artistic masterpiece.
Examples of creatives from Masterroom. Remember that the neural network is constantly learning itself.
Maybe Masterroom will not be a very promising application, but this feature can consider a large income, like the same photo social network banned in Russia. And just imagine what kind of battle for likes and audience can begin if Zuckerberg fastens similar functionality to a functional product.
All top bloggers will instantly find themselves on the same starting line with millions of ordinary people, many of whom will be much more creative.
And if Tik-Tok offers to create a video with a text description? And if VK adds a function to generate posts using AI, like “write briefly what is new with you, and our neural network will generate an adaptive post”?
The neural network has already learned how to draw cats in a very believable way. Just like quadcopters.
On the one hand, this development of social networks looks very logical. It will just be the next level, new horizons of endless flow.
We only see artificial intelligence fantasies that have nothing to do with reality. Values can be exchanged, and with them, reality is even felt. The world will narrow down to magical pictures with interesting landscapes, gadgets, cars and applications.
And if yesterday one of the millions of subscribers of a cool blogger looked at the new car of his idol and wanted the same one, today the same conditional “noname” will dream of being able to visualize their fantasies in texts to feed them to neural networks.
And even he himself will become a new top blogger if he manages to generate bright textual nonsense.
There are no ad integrations in these posts yet. Not yet.
Let’s return from the matrix to the modern world. In the same Masterroom, there is still no way to comment on posts, repost pictures, there is no “favorites” section, a list of friends, and much more.
But it’s only a matter of time. When familiar and convenient tools for communication appear in the application, many will not notice how they will spend more and more time in this, and visual applications.
With the advent of events, advertisers will also come, which means there will be moneywhich everyone can get if there is a right request for a hype picture.
I hope that in a few years I will still be looking at photos of friends in my feed, and not at fictional images. Otherwise, how will our life be different from the plot of The Matrix, in which artificial intelligence people essentially showed generated beautiful pictures of their lives, while real life shrunk to the size of capsules with a nutrient solution?
Be carefull.
