JSC “Multiplicator Group” acquired three more game developers in addition to “Pixonics” and a joint venture with Innova. These are Imbakod LLC, Smartfonio LLC, N-Jinn LLC, which were established only in early January, Kommersant learned.
The beneficiaries of the Multiplier Groups are still unknown. The interlocutors of the publication suggested that we are talking about “a large investor who does not want to advertise his connection with the Russian market.”
The market believes that in the future a game holding will appear on the basis of the Multiplier Group, which will work in partnership with VK Play. The latter stressed that they are collaborating “with all the key publishers and developers in the region.”
- In September 2022, VK announced the sale of its My.Games line of games. It was bought by the managing partner of Leta Capital Alexander Chachava.
- A few months later, Alexander Chachava announced that he would be restructuring his gaming assets. Part of the My.Games business, which generates revenue in the Russian market, was spun off into a separate independent company, Astrum Entertainment.
- The separate Russian business turned out to be part of a joint venture (JV) with gaming company Innova. Innova became the controlling person and manager of the new joint venture.
